The Trilogy Comes to an End

Doc has written Marty a letter saying that he must leave him in 1885 and instead just go back to 1985. Doc in 1955 is supposed to help him get there.

Marty and Doc find the DeLorean, in an abandoned mine. As they are leaving with the car, Capurnicus (Doc's dog in 1955) barks at a grave and won't leave it alone. Marty goes over and discovers that it's Docs grave! He gets gunned down by Bufford 'Mad Dog' Tannen, exactly one week after he wrote the letter! He was shot over a dispute for $80.

Marty goes to 1885 to save him. When he arrives he meets his Great Great Grandparents. The first McFly's in America. Marty goes into town and see's 'Mad Dog' in the local saloon. Marty calls him Mad Dog and Bufford tries to kill him. Marty gets chased to the clocktower (Which is still getting built). He is about to be hanged when Doc saves him. Marty and Doc decide to leave straight away, but there is no petrol. They have to figure out a way to get home before Doc is killed!

Along the way Doc falls in love and there is a classic western 'shoot out.' Marty also calls himself Clint Eastwood!

The story was the worst out of the three, but still was pretty good. I think that this time, they relied too much on the special effects to get the movie through. In this movie there was too many dull moments (Mainly in the middle). Doc was actually pretty sane this time round too.

The best part was towards the end. This was the time when there was the most action. The shoot out with Bufford was quite good and you don't expect the shoot out to happen the way it happens. Doc falling in love with a woman who was supposed to die wasn't too boring, but dragged the story down in the middle. At the end though it added to the excitement.

The special effects again where top class, but special effects alone don't make a great movie (A good example is Godzilla). Don't get me wrong though, this movie had it's moments, but compared to Back to the Future and Back to the Future Part II, it was only average.

Overall I would give this move 6 out of 10. It is pretty good and worth the watch, but not one of the classics like Back to the Future and Back to the Future Part II.
